That’s why we are glad to announce the publication of our first sustainability report, entitled “Bilancio di Sostenibilità: relazione sul beneficio comune 2022” (Sustainabilty record. A report on common benefit in 2022). A document which testifies our successful commitment to create positive impacts through our sustainable responsibility.

A meaningful document, which hides behind its formal structure a precious ensemble of symbolic values and concrete actions, besides detailing all the intentions that we turned into reality and the initiatives that we successfully carried out. It’s these achievements that make us proud and lead us towards building an ever wider and worthier vision for the future: one where the attention devoted to sustainable evolution overcomes local boundaries to embrace a really circular and collective dimension.

Why did we draw up and publish the report?

Firstly, to fulfil a legal obligation. Since we decided to turn Goretti into a benefit corporation to follow our wish to create common value, we now have to comply with the relevant legislation, which requires us to publish an annual integrated report outlining all our activities and corresponding outcomes. More precisely, the report is a specific document which describes in detail – and according to international standard criteria – the impacts we achieved on an environmental and social level and the goals we set ourselves to continue on this virtuous path.

Secondly, to celebrate transparency and enhance the importance of synergies, since the actual writing of the sustainability report also offered a special opportunity to meet, discuss and share ideas and opinions not only inside our company but also with the companies which trustfully rely on our work.

How did we achieve this goal? First and foremost, thanks to the commitment and enthusiasm of all the people who contributed to putting the document together. As a matter of fact, the report is the final result of a collective activity which shows the engagement of representatives from every relevant department who, by sharing their expertise and daily experience, were able to create an accurate and in-depth description of the company.

Moreover, by openly and accurately presenting what Goretti is and what it does: the report offers us a significant opportunity to get you to concretely know our world, made up of expertise, people, values and territory. Through each of its chapters, the document embarks on a journey into our company’s ecosystem. A journey which starts from describing our identity and business model, goes on evaluating the impacts we created and ends highlighting the activities we carried out in 2022 – along with the goals we set ourselves for 2023 – in order to achieve our wish to pursue growth while caring for our employees and customers, contributing to the development of the territory and the community in which we operate and respecting the environment.

In line with the relevant legislation, the report is also attached to the financial statement containing the company’s financial information.

Finally, by making the document accessible to everyone, through its lodging at the Chamber of commerce and its publication it on our website.

The report will be presented to all employees belonging to Goretti’s network during a special event planned for July 28. A company dinner party will thus turn into a unique moment, especially conceived to further spread the values which inspired the amazing work we did together.
