Talent, crystals and vision: a year with the Accademia Costume & Moda

Where the future of industry begins

Fashion is taught, but most importantly it is experienced.

That’s why in 2025 Goretti chose to start a partnership with the Accademia Costume & Moda in Rome – one of Italy’s finest institutes of fashion training – to play a proactive role in a process that combines training and manufacturing, as well as vision and creation.

The programme is the result of a dissertation project by Silvia Manoni that was developed with Goretti’s technical support in the field of precious applications and rhinestones. This technical collaboration turned into a well-structured relationship and then culminated into a masterclass held by our team at the Academy in Rome for the students of the High Fashion Master’s course.

It was a hands-on exchange of ideas on materials, applications and technical solutions, bearing in mind that innovation is not just the product of an idea, but also of combining effective planning with materials.

As Goretti invests in training, the Academy invests in direct contacts with companies and suppliers from the fashion industry. This rare reciprocity enables future designers to immediately realise how an intuition can turn into a creation, a surface and light.

Pop Icons: Swarovski partnership

The project has been enhanced thanks to the contribution by Swarovski, which has been our partner for nearly thirty years as well as an international leader in the world of crystals and the high fashion industry.

The Pop Icons project, which was developed with the students from the master’s course, has combined creativity and technology in a series of experiments centred on Swarovski crystals. The final selection of concepts was carried out by the brand and led to the creation of a dress covered in crystals.

Goretti worked with Ilaria Bianchini, the student whose project has been selected, in implementing the creative design and developing the most suitable solutions.

The result was a synergy of training, industry and international brands: a dialogue that brings together academic research and the very best manufacturers.

From the Academy to the Milan runway

Our dialogue didn’t end in the classroom. Two students joined our Style Studio team as interns and benefitted from a first-hand experience of business operations.

One of them, Maddalena Guidi, developed her own thesis project by working in close contact with our team. Her dress was presented at master’s final runway show in Milan, which was attended by members of the Goretti team who were invited by the Accademia Costume & Moda. It was the result of a constant dialogue between ideas and technical expertise.

Some of the applications and weaves were created in our production sites. That is where the nature of high fashion changes: from imagination to conscious creation.

All of this was possible thanks to the trust shown by the Accademia Costume & Moda and the constant dialogue with Maria di Napoli Rampolla, Giulia Boccia and Santo Costanzo, three devoted and extremely competent professionals. But above all it was possible thanks to the students, who provided their energy and determination to shape a capsule collection made of research, precision and creative value.

A vision shared with MinervaHub

This partnership is part of a broader vision shared by the MinervaHub Group. More and more partners are strengthening their bond with the training world and are offering their know-how to develop an ecosystem made of creativity, innovation and top-level manufacturing.

Goretti firmly believes that supporting young talents is no symbolic gesture, but rather a strategic choice made to share languages, narrow the gap between designers and manufacturers, as well as contribute to training the professionals who will lead tomorrow’s brands.

In 2025 we wrote the first chapter of a story that is bound to continue in the future.
