Artelier: our district of weaving and textile arts

An alliance of expertise and creativity

The Goretti network is much more than a mere group of specialised companies. It’s an alliance of expertise, skills and artisanal knowledge that come together and result in unique products, able to meet the increasingly complex demands of today’s fashion industry. Thanks to the close collaboration between the companies of the group, different and seemingly distant techniques can be integrated with one another, thus achieving results that combine beauty and quality with a high level of complexity, suitable for customised projects.

This synergy enables us to carry out elaborate processes that often require several steps and coordination between different suppliers to handle samples and orders. Each company of the network makes an essential contribution, not only in terms of specialisation, but also by engaging in a constant exchange of ideas and innovations that enriches production and boosts the professional growth of the various teams.

That’s exactly why Artelier is so important in our network. Not only does it supply handicraft processing, it is also a source of inspiration and creative opportunities that enable us to develop customised solutions for every customer, thereby enriching our range of products with a variety of textures and details that can make the difference.

Weaving traditions and innovations

For Artelier, every handicraft technique is the result of a combination of ancient techniques, high manual craftsmanship and creative research. The professionals working at Artelier are specialists in adapting traditional techniques to contemporary projects, finding solutions to any challenge and ensuring that every product is unique and skilfully created.

Founded in 1979 as a company specialised in the production of welts, Artelier is deeply rooted across the Marche region, namely in Serra de’ Conti (AN). With its motto ‘weaving traditions’, Artelier remains a landmark for techniques such as leather weaves, mignons and macramè, all rigorously handmade.

Artelier’s distinctive techniques

Artelier stands out thanks to its wide and diverse range of handicraft techniques, able to enrich any product with unique weaves and finishes. The main techniques offered include:

Handmade weaves

Realised on jigs or templates, they can be created with mignons, leather or synthetic leather round strips, strips, cotton and raffia.  Every weave is the result of a careful manual process.

Macramè

An ancient art consisting in knotting threads without using any tools. Macramé works are entirely made by hand, thus giving a unique and refined look to every creation.

Knitting

Carried out with knitting needles, this technique is suitable for materials such as linen, cotton, jute, wool and viscose, and gives products a soft and natural effect.

Round strips and mignons

Manufactured in long lengths and in leather or synthetic material, round strips and mignons are customisable in thickness and width and can be reinforced or padded. They’re ideal for decorating and refining bags, shoes and other accessories.

Crochet

A technique used to create fabrics with various links and loops of yarn. Crochet can be used on any kind of fibre and adds a rich and refined texture to any product.

Finished products

Artelier also creates finished products, such as bags, charms and uppers, which are then presented at trade shows, thus enabling customers to get to know the wide range of techniques available.

A synergy of quality and innovation

Thanks to the collaboration with the other companies of the Goretti network, Artelier’s products can be further enriched with additional elements, such as rhinestones, sewn pearls, hotfix studs and laser decorations. Deadema and Mabel enrich the bases weaved or processed by Artelier with handles and plastic or metal accessories.

Thanks to this close synergy, we are able to offer our customers a constantly changing range of solutions and techniques, thus keeping up with the latest trends. Artelier’s handicraft work is perfectly in line with our vision: offering our customers high-quality products, made with passion and expertise.
