At the Lineapelle exhibition we presented “Primo Atto”

From 20 to 22 September, the 100th edition of Lineapelle took place, hosting visitors from as many as 109 countries. This year Goretti renewed its participation in the event, once again bringing its truly special contribution: for this edition we dressed surfaces with words, emotions, colours and materials to bring new thoughts on the body we wear. We have embarked on a journey that explores the desire to wear LOVE for ourselves and for those we wish to love.
We immersed visitors in the narration of Primo Atto, Goretti’s new collection made up of words, hands, gestures, strokes and signs conceived to let things flow out, force frontiers, open doors, and mould new forms of the inner self.
Primo Atto arose from a new opportunity to collaborate with “Lapsus diversa creatività” (Lapsus different creativity), an organisation based in Senigallia (in the province of Ancona) that practices a different kind of art, free from filters, patterns, prejudices and boundaries. Lapsus was founded in 2013 with the aim of offering disabled artists a home where they can express their creative potential, and of turning irregularity into an artistic code, moving away from a concept of mere assistance.
Goretti has thus created a new collection that moves from the desire to incorporate the delicate and intimate topic of affectivity and sexuality in the company’s craft. In doing so, the company chose to rely once again on the artists of Lapsus to embark on a journey of exploration, analysis and reflection that, driven by the artists’ personal and unique codes, could meet Goretti’s need to work out new paths.

What Goretti brought to Lineapelle is the result of an incipient dialogue between body and emotions that explores new perspectives on who we are, entering a dimension where art becomes a code to answer questions that we normally struggle to ask those people whose look is very different from ours. This project is dedicated once again to the exploration of the being: Goretti asks to let go of the body in its common, customary definitions, while Lapsus interprets the existence through eyes and hands that overlook the acknowledged and embrace the unheard.
Beyond that, what we brought to Lineapelle is the result of the intertwining of skills and experiences deriving from an ecosystem of artisans and people who, despite their diversity, pursue shared values and visions. This is what distinguishes our partner companies, with whom we have built a harmonious team striving for a common goal: Artelier, Mabel Srl and Deadema, which, with their know-how and expertise, offer along with us an ever more complete and evolving range of excellent products. Behind our participation in Lineapelle hides the work of those hands that have created every single component – even the smallest one – of our collections, the same hands that contribute every day to the growth of our network. Our team also included Ѐstro Lab, in charge of the collection concept and much more, KEI KEI studio, responsible for the creative direction and the stand’s shapes and colours, Cristiana Rubbio who composed the texts, and Giorgia Angelini who excellently set up the stand. And, of course, Lapsus with its unique artistic sensibility.
